DVD –R and DVD+R, DVD –RW, DVD+RW and DVD-RAM are some kind of dvd device which often used and are often met. DVD-R and DVD+R are two kind of single layer (SL) dvd and are compatible with many costumer electronic. Because of the kind that included in single layer, here by they can be read in many kind of DVD recorder and DVD ROM in computer.
Written DVD-RW and DVD + RW can be of most computer DVD-ROM and DVD-video and consumer electronics (CE) DVD with a portable equipment, cars and DVD players and recorders. However, both of them are optical characteristics of the signal (lower reflectivity) closer to those of the Dual-Layer (DL) voraufgezeichnet (pressed) DVDs sometimes contributes to incompatibilities. As for DVD-R and DVD + R, compatibility to continue to develop, some devices (usually older) may not be able to play discs written.
Then the other disc which different with prerecorded is DVD-RAM disc. This kind of disc only can be read in DVD-RAM like DVD multi-compliant computer, CE consumer, or DVD ROM that supported by DVD-RAM.
